Zac StaceyIt was a great draft for the St. Louis Rams, and apparently a wish fulfilled for running back Zac Stacy. With the 10th pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Rams took the fast and powerful Georgia Bulldog running back, Todd Gurley.

This prompted Rams running back Zac Stacy to tweet: “Yikes,” and then use the platform to request to be traded. Two days later, the Rams granted Stacy his wish sending him to the New York Jets in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick. Mighty nice of the Rams to be so accommodating.

Whether Mr. Stacy was just venting and truly upset by the Gurley pick or honestly wanted to be traded we don’t know.  What we do know is that you don’t bite the hand that feeds you on social media. You can think it, tell your mom about it, even cry about it, but don’t take your emotions out on social media as it’s a global press conference. When in doubt, sit it out.

Wishing we could put Mr. Stacy through some social media training. Good player on the field, but not so good on social media. Try SM2 eLearning.
