We are looking for communications interns for our reputation management team at SM2.
As an intern for SM2, we’d like you to work and learn alongside our team to develop and implement strategic crisis communications plans, reputation management and brand wellness programs. Our core clients are high-profile individuals from the public and private sectors including but not limited to energy, professional and collegiate sports, entertainment, politics and higher learner institutions.
School Credit & Paid Internships available.
Responsibilities. Alongside of us we want you to:
- Create strategic communications plans for high profile public figures.
- Develop critical brand strategies to increase positive sentiment campaigns for our clients and brands.
- Collaborate with team members to create social ‘buzz’ regarding our clients and initiatives.
- Manage, create and publish original, high quality content for SM2 and our clients for both owned and earned media outlets.
- Ability to deliver creative content:
- Blogs, editorial content, articles, white pages, vlogs.
- GIFs, memes, videos, graphics, text.
- Ability to deliver creative content:
- Research and create content for media pitching and owned media content.
- Assist in responses to media queries.
- Content moderation for social media platforms.
- Assist in preparing monthly reports for clients.
- Help to create editorial calendars and social media influencers.
- Develop familiarity with analytic brand sentiment tools.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Has a creative style.
- Plays well with others.
Requirements
- Proven work experience and/or academic background in the field of communications, brand health, social media.
- Strong understanding of AP & SEO writing.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
- Familiarity with communications strategies and marketing channels.
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, Google Analytics, social media scheduling/calendars/tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
Reporting/Hours
- 8-10 hours per week.
- Reports to senior communications team and CEO.
Qualifies for University School Credit.
